Coming to art later in life, Queen Brooks has wasted no time in developing her own, unique voice. Working in multi-media, and often forming constructions, Brooks’ work is refreshing, honest, and captivating. Holding an MFA from OSU, Brooks has received the Lila Wallace, Readers Digest International Artist Award, granting an artist-in-residence in the French port city of Abidjan on the Ivory Coast. She has received many awards, including the Ohioana Career Award.
