TOSRV Family Day

May 10, 2014

The Southern Ohio Museum & Cultural Center invites you to a day of Art & Music on May 10th from noon-5pm.  Free indoor & outdoor hands-on art and music activities will be offered. TOSRV participants and their families are encouraged to come and explore our Appalachian heritage by learning to play a Mountain Dulcimer!  Guided Tours of exhibits will be available all day.

On exhibit: The work of regional Ohio landscape artist Alan Gough, paintings of Portsmouth native Clarence Carter, and the Museum’s extensive collection of ancient artifacts from the Adena & Hopewell Cultures of Ohio.

Drop in anytime from 12-5 pm. This is the perfect stop for family and friends waiting to meet cyclists. The Southern Ohio Museum is walking distance to Tracy Park, Saturday’s TOSRV stop.

Event parking is available across from the Museum on 6th Street and in the Municipal lot, which can be accessed from 4th Street.

The Museum offers free public WiFi.  For more information about TOSRV Family Day & other events at the Southern Ohio Museum, please visit our website at www.somacc.com or call (740)354-5629.
